Sports Massage Therapy
With Ajay Bolla
Ajay Bolla
Hello, I'm Ajay Bolla, a Sports Massage Therapist passionate about helping people move more comfortably, recover from physical activity, and improve their overall physical wellbeing.
Whether you're an athlete looking to support your recovery, an office worker experiencing persistent neck and shoulder tension, or someone living with ongoing muscular discomfort, I believe your treatment should be built around you, your body, and your individual needs.
My interest in the human body began through my studies in sport and exercise science, which I completed in 2020. Since then, I've continued to develop my knowledge through further training in sports massage therapy, personal training, and additional soft tissue techniques.
I completed my Diploma in Sports Massage Therapy with the Sports Massage Academy in March 2025. I also hold a Level 3 Diploma in Personal Training and a Level 3 Extended Diploma in Sport and Exercise Science. My additional training includes dry cupping, instrument-assisted soft tissue mobilisation (IASTM), and joint mobilisation techniques, with relevant continuing professional development completed through recognised training providers.
Alongside my professional training, my background as a competitive boxer has given me first-hand insight into the physical demands of sport, training and recovery. I also have personal experience of living with chronic health conditions, which has helped me appreciate how persistent discomfort can affect everyday life.
These experiences shape my approach to treatment. I understand that every person has different goals, challenges and expectations, and I aim to provide a supportive, professional experience that respects those differences.
My Approach to Sports Massage
I don't believe sports massage should look the same for everyone.
Some clients want support with recovery after training, while others are looking for help managing muscular tension associated with work, daily activities or ongoing physical challenges.
I adapt my treatment techniques to your needs, taking into account your concerns, activity levels and goals. Depending on what is appropriate, a session may incorporate sports massage alongside additional techniques such as dry cupping, IASTM or joint mobilisation.
My aim is to help you better understand your body's needs, support your physical wellbeing and work towards moving with greater comfort and confidence.
Where appropriate, I can also offer basic exercise advice informed by my personal training background to help you consider how movement and everyday habits may contribute to your overall wellbeing.
Who I Support
I work with a range of clients, from competitive athletes to people who experience muscular discomfort during everyday life.
Sports massage may be suitable for:
Athletes and active individuals who want support with recovery following exercise and training.
People looking to optimise performance and maintain their physical wellbeing.
Office and desk-based workers experiencing muscular tension associated with prolonged sitting or repetitive activities.
People experiencing neck, shoulder or back discomfort where muscular and soft tissue factors may be contributing.
Individuals living with persistent muscular discomfort who want support with managing symptoms and improving everyday comfort.
People with physically demanding jobs or routines who experience muscular fatigue and tension.
Individuals looking for a personalised approach to soft tissue treatment that takes their lifestyle, activity levels and goals into account.
I recognise that pain and discomfort can affect people differently. My aim is to work with you to understand your concerns and tailor treatment to your individual circumstances.
If your symptoms suggest that you may need assessment or treatment beyond the scope of sports massage, I will encourage you to seek appropriate healthcare advice.
